Frida-1 contains a large number of read in routines for neutron scattering
instruments, for the two light scattering instruments operated at the
Institute E13 of the
Physics Department of the
Technical University of Munich, and
the optical Kerr effect spectrometer at LENS.
Neutron scattering read-in routines
The read in routines for neutron scattering are mainly focussing on
time-of-flight spectroscopy. Routines for time-of-flight spectroscopy
and the neutron backscattering spectrometer HFBS of the NCNR at NIST have continuously been maintained.
r04 or
r4 is the read-in routine for time-of-flight data of the
IN4 spectrometer at
ILL
r05 or
r5 is the read-in routine for time-of-flight data of the
IN5 spectrometer at
ILL
r06 or
r6 is the read-in routine for time-of-flight data of the
IN6 spectrometer at
ILL
r10 is the read-in routine for neutron backscattering data of the
IN10 spectrometer at
ILL
r10e is the read-in routine for elastic scans at the neutron backscattering spectrometer
IN10 at
ILL
r13 is the read-in routine for neutron backscattering data of the
IN13 spectrometer at
ILL
r16 is the read-in routine for neutron backscattering data of the
IN16 spectrometer at
ILL
rdcs is the read-in routine for neutron time-of-flight data acquired at the
DCS spectrometer at the
NCNR(NIST). The data has to be converted to
ASCII format using the DAVE program. Details on which data fields have to be included for the conversion will become available shortly. The routine might be modified to directly read-in the NEXUS format.
rfoco is the old read-in routine used for data acquired at the FOCUS time-of-flight spectrometer at SINQ (PSI). This routine requires preconversion of the NEXUS raw data to
ASCII using a program written by A. Meyer that is available on-site.
rhfbs is the read-in routine for the neutron backscattering spectrometer
HFBS at
NCNR(NIST)
rhfbso is the read-in routine for the neutron backscattering spectrometer
HFBS at
NCNR(NIST)
This routine shall be used for data predating August 2003 that has been preprocessed with a converter program available on site.
rtof is used to read data acquired at the
TOFTOF spectrometer at
FRM-II.
rrs read-in routine for the
IRIS spectrometer at
ISIS
This routine was recently implemented and is still partly on an experimental stage.
Light-scattering read-in routines
The following routines may need revision. Changes of file format highly possible
rMI is used to read data from Mibemol acquired at the Orphee reactor in Saclay.
rNE is used to read data from the NEAT time-of-flight spectrometer at HMI in Berlin.
rfcs can be used to read data of the FCS spectrometer at NCNR(NIST) that is currently
out of operation.
