Use Steca: Session files

The current state of the work in Steca (loaded and selected files and various configuration, such as detector geometry, image transformations and cut, background an reflections, etc.) is called session. A session can be saved as a “session file”. Loading a session file restores the work as it was saved.

File paths in a session are stored relative to the location of the session file. Therefore the session file and the data files can be moved together to a different folder, a different computer, or even a different operating system, and as long as their relative location stays the same, the session can be restored.

Session files are stored in JSON format; if needed, they can be edited, carefully, with a text editor.
