Description

Both the beam polarization and the analyzer spin filter are characterized by complex matrices.
For a scattering amplitude matrix A, the detected intensity becomes:
Tr[rho_analyzer.A^dagger.rho_beam.A]
which is always real (both rho's are Hermitian)
