Description

How to reproduce:

  • Drag and drop sample from the list of standard samples
  • Go to material editor ('m'), remove all materials.
  • Run simulation, crash will follow.

It's not only a GUI problem.
Take any python example, and change the line

    air_layer = ba.Layer(m_ambience)

into
    air_layer = ba.Layer()

It will crash with segfault.

Python problem is different one (which I was not aware of, thanks). Should be solved in different way, than in GUI. But I can take care of it within this item, too.
