Description

In old times we had the possibility to invoke mask editor from Instrument View (detector properties).
This was handy since we could define large detector 1024x1024 and then put smaller region of interest.

Later on this feature has started to interfere with masks defined in RealDataView. Two masks editor were confusing, it was not clear which one has precedence, so we have removed mask editor from detector properties.

Recently, I was making student exercises and understood that I want old feature back.

  • I have created complicated rectangular detector
  • I made sure that main features of simulated image are located in the right corner of the detector

I.e. looks like image I see in side party software, like Xi-cam
I.e. there is no real data yet to import in BornAgain

  • Now I want to simulate smaller area of the detector and I need ROI invoked from detector properties
