nomenclature: find better term than "interference" for lattices or correlation functions
|Status:||Rejected||Start date:||13 May 2019|
Sample models describe a structure in real space.
Layers, interface roughness, particle decoration are all real-space terms.
"Interference" functions to not fit.
Interference of scattered radiation is a reciprocal-space consequence of real-space correlations.
We do not specify interferences.
We specify correlation functions or lattices, which then cause interferences.
Therefore, the term "interference" should disappear from our sample models.
It should be replaced by "correlation function", "lattice", or similar terms.
