+ Dont forget to remove variable PYTHON_REQUESTED_VERSIONS

Do you mean Python_ADDITIONAL_VERSIONS?
This also seems not to be honored anymore in newer cmake versions
A minimum version can be specified via
find_package (Python 3.8 COMPONENTS Interpreter Development NumPy)
I currently don't see how to request multiple specific versions.

Right, I meant Python_ADDITIONAL_VERSIONS variable. In https://cmake.org/cmake/help/git-stage/module/FindPython.html there is some Python_FIND_STRATEGY.
Not sure how it works. In the code of official FindPython.cmake I see another variable Python_FIND_VERSION. But I think that from a practical point of view by not specifying any version we are covered. By specifying a path to Python_INTERPRETER and libraries we can achieve everything.
